We have had significant natural snowfall in March, so our base is very deep. Our excellent groomers are on the slopes every night so we can experience a 'perfect' snow surface every morning.

The good thing about cold temperatures is our ability to make fresh snow in addition to the stuff Mother Nature leaves us! Conditions are great come and enjoy it.
 

THE BREAK-OUT  SKIING EXPERIENCE

PROBLEM: Along the way we all reach (or get stuck on) a plateau in every sport. Some people have no problem lingering there, and that is fine. Others want to reach higher, intensifying the enjoyment of the sport. If that is you – read on.
RECOGNITION: Some signs – When we are on a difficult Intermediate (Blue Square) trail the skies do not remain parallel during a turn or When we are on an Expert (Black Diamond) trail we keep picking up speed leading to an ‘out of control’ experience.
SOLUTION: The only way to break-out is to receiving excellent coaching.
LOGIC: Ski lessons are expensive but so is ski wear. Why not consider postponing that purchase of ski wear or equipment and invest in some lessons. The ROI (from the coaching) will be enjoyed all season long and more! It will not wear out!!
EXECUTION: For most skiers, a few 2 hour private lessons with practice in-between will take you to that next level.

It has been a strange year for weather here at Killington, however our great snowmaking & grooming effort has quickly brought our trails back to an excellent condition regardless of what Mother Nature threw at us. In December I did 6 days of skiing with an excellent group of UK students from Queen Elizabeth's Hospital School in Bristol.

They arrived as people who skied a few times and left skiing black and double black diamonds trails with great confidence and skill. An remarkable achievement!

If you haven't experienced foliage season at Killington you have really missed a visual treat.

Our famous teaching slope 'Snow Shed'. It has other nicknames. Mowed & ready for the guns to do their thing.

Center trail is 'Super Star'. Snow lasted until last week in May on this trail. Fun moguls all season long.

Killington peak at the top. Several black diamonds are ready for your enjoyment. These trails get early snowmaking.

Snowden area has interesting advanced intermediate trails. Served by a triple & a quad it is also a fine teaching area for those ready to 'break out' to a new ski level.

Made for families to enjoy skiing together. Mellow intermediate trails are on Rams Head. Next step up after Snow Shed. Lots of snow making here.
 

Killington Grand Summit Hotel is at the base of the mountains. If you haven't stayed there give it a try in a slope side unit.  All who have, rave about it. 

With a new investor involved The 'Village' at Snowshed has new life:
